Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a BEAR Forensic Examiner Nurse Practionter to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA.

BRIDGING EVIDENCE ASSESSMENT AND RESOURCES (BEAR) PROGRAM EXAMINER

The Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources (BEAR) program is growing its elite team of highly trained forensic examiners to deliver 24/7/365 medical and forensic care to adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or intimate partner violence and strangulation. This on-call position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Certified nurse-midwife candidates with experience in areas requiring advanced physical assessment skills such as emergency department, critical care, and/or maternal/child health. Previous experience as a medical-forensic examiner with completion of a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Training course preferred. Clinical training in the medical-forensic evidentiary examination will be provided if you are selected to be part of our team.

The BEAR team continually strives to provide excellence through rigorous quality assurance/improvement and training activities. We are the medical component of the Sexual Assault Response Team.
