Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary Aortic Disease Program in San Francisco, California. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside nationally and internationally recognized leaders in aortic disease care — Dr. Matthew Solomon, Dr. David Liang, and Dr. Ed Chen — in a program dedicated to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and research of complex aortic conditions.

About the Opportunity

As a key member of the Aortic Disease Program, you’ll support patients across the continuum of care — from outpatient consultations and longitudinal management to inpatient care and procedural support. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to a growing, innovative program focused on excellence in patient outcomes and translational research.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new evaluations, follow-ups, and hospital-based management

· Assist with aortic procedures and perioperative care, including coordination of imaging, diagnostics, and surgical planning

· Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery teams

· Conduct telehealth visits and manage patient communications via the Epic platform

· Facilitate continuity of care through coordination with referring providers and subspecialists

· Educate patients and families on aortic disease, treatment options, and long-term management

· Support clinical quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives

· Engage in opportunities for clinical research and program development

Requirements

Education:

· Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program

Licensure & Certifications:

· Current California NP or PA license

· DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)

· Current BLS certification

· Current ACLS certification

· Additional certifications as required by department

Experience:

· Prior experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or aortic disease preferred

· New graduates with a strong interest in complex cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply
