Physician Assistant, Vascular Surgery (San Francisco, CA)

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Vascular and Endovascular Surgery team in San Francisco, California. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside Dr. Hernan A. Bazan, a nationally recognized vascular surgeon specializing in peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, and minimally invasive endovascular procedures.

About the Opportunity:

As part of a leading vascular surgery program, you’ll support patients across the continuum of care — including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and procedural assistance. The role offers a balanced mix of outpatient (approximately 70%) and inpatient (30%) responsibilities, providing a comprehensive experience in vascular and endovascular surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new and follow-up visits

· Assist Dr. Hernan Bazan with vascular and endovascular procedures, including pre-operative preparation and post-operative care

· Conduct telehealth consultations using the Epic platform

· Assist with triage of referrals and manage department inbox communications

· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care

· Order and interpret diagnostic studies in alignment with physician treatment plans

· Educate patients and families on vascular conditions and treatment options

· Support clinical quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives

Education:

· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program

Licensure & Certifications:

· Current California PA license

· DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)

· Current BLS certification

· Additional certifications as required by department

Experience:

· Prior experience in vascular, surgical, or critical care settings preferred

· New graduates with a strong interest in vascular surgery and procedural care are encouraged to apply
