Opportunity Information

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Otolaryngology (ENT) team in Sacramento, CA!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hybrid schedule including 50% outpatient clinic, surgical first assist in the OR, and inpatient rounding/management
  • Join a supportive team of experienced ENT physicians and APCs
  • Mentorship and collaboration from ENT providers
  • Opportunity to participate in minor procedures and surgical interventions
  • Assist with hospital rounding and management of ENT surgical patients
  • Serve both pediatric and adult populations
  • Manage common ENT conditions such as hearing loss, throat disorders, and chronic issues
  • Participate in pre- and post-op care, including tracheostomy care/management

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical practice (post-training) required; ENT or surgical experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency or comfort with suturing, surgical assisting, and inpatient rounding
  • Experience or comfort managing pediatric patients
  • Confident communicator, especially with patient families and interdisciplinary teams
  • National certification as an NP or PA required
  • Must be eligible for licensure in the state of California
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth – attendance at ENT specialty conferences (e.g., April ENT conference) encouraged
